Event Date: July 24th 2020

VSFG Defined: Virtual Show for Good was created in partnership with The Brain Bang Show, (local entertainment with a purpose) in the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The concept behind VSFG was to not only deliver immediate funding to organizations working with communities impacted by COVID-19 but to also provide a platform to voices and artists in our community.

The Organization: The Cupcake Girls, “Provide confidential support to those that are involved in the sex industry through holistic resources, case management, and after-care.”

The Project: Raise money and awareness for The Cupcake Girls community. By June of 2020, in just a two-week time span, The Cupcake Girls had seen a 300% increase in their predominantly Black, Latinx, and Indigenous clientele due to the pandemic and shut down of non-essential businesses.

Our team implemented a powerful social media marketing strategy and developed an event theme around “Fletnix” (our interactive take on Netflix). We commissioned local artists for event entertainment; the event was covered by Portland Monthly and local media, and we raised additional funds through our collaboration on the Portland Together pin project. Watch the full event here!
